Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees and houseplants, along with soil, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries usually grow part of their own stock and carry varieties suited to the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Plant shops focus on houseplants, succulents and orchids, often with repotting help. Greenhouses and growers sell seedlings and bedding plants in spring, and many offer wholesale prices to landscapers. Landscape designers plan planting beds, patios and irrigation, and some garden centers offer design and installation services as well.

Quincy is in Massachusetts, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Quincy peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Place was a gold mine for starter plants. Good quality, not covered in bugs!

While the prices are slightly higher than what you would see at a chain store, they are very reasonable for purchasing from a nursery and the difference in plant quality is very much worth it! I highly recommend stopping in and taking a look at their selection!

Good selection and I prefer to support them over the big box stores for flowers but pricey comparatively.

My first Christmas Tree for my own place! Stopped here on my way home from work one night to finally get my tree mid December. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Reasonable prices and quality, tree lasted pretty well through new years. Will return!

Great selection of healthy plants, flowers, vegetables, fruits, and herbs. The varieties sold are appropriate for our local growing zone (not always true of the varieties sold by big box stores & national retail chains)
